What your customers see: the review flow

A step-by-step walkthrough of the experience behind your collection link.

Here is exactly what happens when a customer opens your collection link - worth knowing before you share it, and handy when a customer asks what to expect. The whole flow is branded with your logo and colors.

Step 1: The rating

The customer lands on a simple page with your branding and a five-star prompt - Tap a star to continue. Their rating decides the path: at or above your link's Positive Rating Threshold they continue toward a public review; below it they go to private feedback instead.

Step 2: Writing the review (happy path)

Most customers like your product but freeze at a blank text box. Revly's Help me write my review step fixes that: the customer taps a few quick prompts about what they liked, adds a few words of their own if they want, and the AI drafts a genuine, editable review in their voice. They can rewrite, regenerate, or start from scratch - nothing is submitted until they approve it. Depending on your link settings, this step also collects their email and name.

Step 3: Posting to a platform

Revly picks the best platform for this customer based on your link's Distribution Mode and presents it front and center. One tap copies their review to the clipboard and opens the platform's review page in a new tab - all they do is paste and submit. Back in the flow, Revly asks whether they posted, and if your link invites multiple reviews, offers the next platform. If an incentive is configured, a progress indicator shows how close they are to earning it.

The private feedback path

Customers below the threshold see a short private form - "we're sorry" plus a message box, with optional name and email for follow-up. This feedback goes only to you (it appears under Collect, in the Activity tab's Feedback section) and is never posted publicly. You hear the hard truths; the internet does not.

The thank-you page

Everyone ends on a thank-you page. Customers who met an incentive threshold see what they earned and how it will reach them; if you configured a Custom Thank You URL, they are redirected there after a moment.

Good to know

  • The AI never fabricates enthusiasm - it drafts from what the customer actually selected and typed, and the customer controls the final text.

  • Every step is tracked, so you can see where customers drop off in the funnel under Collect, Analyze (Core and above).

  • Configure everything about this flow in Creating your first collection link; rewards are covered in Offering incentives for reviews.
