Offering incentives for reviews

Reward customers for honest reviews - setup, thresholds, and fulfilling earned incentives.

A small thank-you goes a long way. Incentives let you offer customers a reward - a gift card, a charity donation, a tree planted - for taking the time to leave an honest review through your collection link. Incentives are available on Core and above.

Setting up an incentive

Open your link in the editor under Collect. In the sidebar you will find two incentive blocks:

  • Primary Incentive - switch on Enable incentive, then give it a Label (what the customer sees, like "$5 Bonus Gift Card"), a Description, and set Platforms required to earn it - whether one review is enough or the customer needs to post on two platforms.

  • Bonus Incentive - an optional extra reward for customers who go beyond the requirement and post on an additional platform. It appears when your link invites reviews on multiple platforms.

When an incentive is enabled, the flow automatically collects the customer's email address - you will need it to deliver the reward.

What the customer sees

The reward is shown during the review flow with a progress indicator toward the threshold. Once they hit it, the thank-you page confirms what they earned and that it is on its way. The full journey is in What your customers see: the review flow.

Fulfilling incentives

Delivery stays in your control. Go to Collect, then the Activity tab - the Incentive Due section lists every customer who has earned a reward:

  • Optionally verify the review landed: click Find Matching Review and Revly shows likely matches from your synced reviews - click Confirm on the right one.

  • Send the reward however you fulfill it (gift card email, donation receipt, and so on).

  • Click Mark Sent so the item leaves your queue.

Good to know

  • Reward honest feedback, not positive feedback - the incentive is for leaving a review, never conditioned on a 5-star rating.

  • Review platforms differ on incentivized reviews: some allow them with disclosure, others prohibit them. Check the policies of the platforms your link points to before enabling incentives.

  • Quick incentive presets (Gift Card, Charity Donation, Plant a Tree) are available when creating a link from the Collect page; the editor gives you full control of the wording.
